Introducing!!

Peace and Happy May 1st to each and every one of you!  Today I would like to introduce a stream of blog entries that I will be posting related to the book written by A'Lelia Bundles titled "On Her Own Ground" The Life and Times of Madam C.J. Walker.

I am already on chapter 8 but I will be back tracking and reading from the beginning in order to show the relation between what our ancestors faced socially and how it affected the individual and today's individual or the lack thereof.

Please feel free to comment and ask questions and by all means...subscribe.

In Light and Love,

Tiffany

Is it dry yet!?

As I sit under the dryer for the second half of a 3 hour process I wonder...is there anybody out there who knows the trick to getting thick curly hair to dry any faster? I shampooed last night with some Honey all over wash from Lush! (www.lush.com) and then I conditioned with Shea Moisture's deep conditioning masque.  I allowed the conditioner to stay in overnight partly b/c my hair could use it but mainly b/c I didn't feel like rinsing. So I did about 6 or 8 2 strands and let my hair do it's thing.  This morning I rinsed the conditioner out in the shower...detangled and then returned my hair to about 15 bantu knots.  I two-stranded as if I was doing a twist out and then twisted them into bantu knots with no pins or rubber bands. I sat under the dryer for about an hour and 30 minutes and now I'm back at it! Did I mention my hair was so soft after I rinsed the conditioner out?? Detangling was a breeze!  Most hair with a natural curl pattern to it wants moisture more than anything!  Moisture begins on the inside so remember to drink even more than the 8 glasses a day if you can.  Ok, back to this dryer and my peppermint tea.  Perhaps Ill post pictures when I take it down tomorrow!!

Peace & Blessings...and remember if you have a voice...Say it...Speak it!!
